Introducation
Pratap Narayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was established on January 13,1911 by Raja Pratap Narayan.It is a constituent unit under Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University. Darbhanga(Bihar). It is situated near Mandar Hill,which has a past religions significance. In the Purans,there is the reference that the sea was churned here.At the top of the hill,there are temples of the sage of Jains,Safas and Hindu Gods.The Mandar Hill is at distance of five kilometeres from college. The college has a past glory as there were many profound scholars who were working as teachers at this college. It caters to the educational needs of students belonging to the poor and unprivileged section of the society. The college is one of the oldest colleges of Bihar. The teachers are dedicated to impart qualitative education to the students. Emphasis is laid on Sanskrit.The college has been provided Wi-Fi facility under Chief Minister's Seven Nischay Yojna.Spacious campus full of trees add a new dimension to it. Serious effort is made to impart education to the students in order to make them ideal citizens and serve the nation in the coming days. There is a famous temple of Lord Madhusudan at a distance ot two k.m from college. The temple is important from the religious point of view.
